Those are in the Malmesbury Group that underlies the Cape Supergroup. nice shots!
Thanks Christie – that was my initial diagnosis, too, but the map in Geological Journeys said it was all Cape SG on the east side of the Bay. I’ll fix the post to reflect your expert ID.

yes the unconformity is right at the coast there – nearly right at the roadway! so on a larger scale map it would be hard to show any of the underlying unit. Jealous of your road trip, I love that area!
