That’s the Athabasca Glacier, crown jewel of the Icefields Parkway in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. Its lateral moraines show well its retreat and “deflation” in recent years.
When I first saw this glacier back in 1976 it extended all the way to the highway, about 1.4 km from its present position.
