  1. I remember sitting on top of those lime kilns. We were on a class trip to hike the C & O towpath. 6th grade. The lime kilns stuck with me. The bricks were much brighter in the late sixties, but I will never forget these interesting formations. Some of the braver kids ran down the hill to see the front of the kilns. We also made the hike to Harpers Ferry later. Thanks for Sharing.
