A lovely iridescent purple – the photos don’t really capture it.
I just found one in my field in central Virginia. Did you get the name of the beetle? The one I found was almost indigo purple.
have you had any sucess on finding out what kind of bug this is?
it is a Dicaelus Purpuratus in the Ground Beetle Family! 🙂
