Some lovely ooids spotted (heh! pun intended) in the field on Monday:
These were probably out of place, so I don’t know what formation they are from. Sure are purty, though.
Ooids aren’t particularly incredible structures, but there’s something about them I find very attractive. The pattern, I guess… it just draws me in!
